3d printing with my diy prusa i3 the previus glow filament I used from another mfg tore my printer to pieces. It grooved my brass feed gear, and elongated my filamed intake to my direct feed. The material had a course feel, and only printed okay. This glow filament from Hatchbox is miles better! Smooth texture on the filament, prints great at 5 degrees C above my normal for PLA, and at the same speed as normal PLA. Hands down worth the price difference for a superior glow in the dark product.

Wish I would have listened and bought this when I first got my printer. I tried cheaper stuff at first and thought there was something wrong with my printer. After prime day came and went I had a few cash back credits on my card and decided it was time to give this a go. BEST DECISION YET. I have since bought more colors to print with. No clicking, smooth flow, nice finish.

As usual, HatchBox comes through with great results. I've printed several objects with this filament and it works great. No problems, very straightforward. The glow is a definite green (see photos), while the color in light is a milky off-white with a tint of green. This filament adds a very cool feature to my 3D prints! (I'm using a RepRap Prusa i3).

This stuff is great. I have had good luck with Hatchbox PLA in general but I get consistent results with this filament. It is very reliable as a filament IMO, and has the added bonus of glowing in the dark. When not printing for projects I am working on, I print earrings and little trinkets for friends, and they dig them. They look subtle during the day, and awesome at night. I have gone through a spool of this in about 3 weeks and working on my second. My favorite so far of the 6 or 7 I have tried.

I already used Hatchbox because of its consistent quality and tight tolerances. My only wish was for a larger hub so last bit of filament wasn't so curled... and they changed it since my last shipment! Central hub is almost twice as big, now I can run it right to the end. Plus, it actually seems like they've tightened their tolerances even more, now claiming +/-0.03 vs the older 0.05, and my measurements suggest this is actually true. VERY satisfied, I love all their different filaments I've tried so far. Wood next!

After purchasing PLA randomly I noticed that the stuff from hatchbox seemed to flow and print the best from my FlashForge Creator Pro. I got the glow in the dark mostly out of curiosity but now I am reprinting a lot of stuff because glow in the dark is awesome. The glow isn't as bright as stuff you might purchase from the store but it's pretty close. 3D printing is awesome to begin with but it's even better when it glows. I am not afraid to admit that I got a bit giddy when I took that first bust of yoda in the bathroom and turned off the light. I haven't decided if it matters or not but it prints semi clear which I wasn't expecting. In the light you can make out a bit of the infill. Only time I could see this being a concern is if I were to use it on things like the yoda bust. Then again I imagine using this for stuff you want to see during the night and not necessarily during the day. You can't see any of the internal structures of your print when it's glowing at night.

Works flawlessly. If charged up with light, I have seen residual glow-in-the-dark effects lasting up to 6 hours. Have not witnessed any negative issues with this PLA so far. Attached is a picture of baby groot (from thingiverse) printed at 0.08mm (23+13 hours) with the filament.

I am beyond impressed by this filament! When I first saw this on Amazon, I thought the glow would be very subtle, even when exposed to a lot of light beforehand. I was very wrong! Pros: - The green glow really exceeded my expectations. It's actually quite vibrant, even next to some other lighted objects (I'll include a picture of a "Solaire of Astora" print from Dark Souls next to my mouse and keyboard for reference), and it's really cool to look at in the dark. Especially if you hold your print under a light for a few seconds before turning the lights off. - This filament prints very smoothly. Just as great as other Hatchbox PLA I've used. I didn't have to adjust any of my default PLA settings to get pretty high quality prints at 0.2mm layer height. - Hatchbox filament comes in spools that have 4 spots to "clip" your filament on BOTH sides (8 total) when switching between spools. Other brands I've used usually have 2 on both sides; wasting small amounts of filament every time you switch spools if you're not using your own clip. Cons: - Nothing. This works just as great as other PLA filaments I've used! I would highly recommend this filament to anyone looking to get a "cool" kind of filament to print with. It has a great "slightly-transparent" white look to it when it's in the light, and a really cool solid green glow when it's in the dark. I absolutely love this filament, and it'll be perfect for small gifts or lettering. I included pictures of a few small gifts I made for people. The lightswitch cover bottom is printed with black Hatchbox PLA, and the lettering is printed with the Hatchbox glow in the dark PLA. The other pictures are the print I set next to my keyboard/mouse.

I have always had great experiences with Hatchbox filament and this spool was no different. I printed with this at 215C on an E3D V6, running at 60mm/s at 0.2mm layer height. There was some minor warping on my unheated bed, but as far as I could tell, it didn't affect the overall quality of the print. Layer adhesion was great at this temperature. I haven't tried it at any other temperature yet though, because 215 is my default for PLA and seems to work well with most brands. Now for the part everyone is wondering about; How well does it glow? It works great. I have only tried a sample of 1 other brand of glow filament, but comparing the two, the Hatchbox blows it out of the water. This stuff is hard to show in a picture, but it glows as good or better than those sticky glow in the dark stars that kids put all over their ceiling. I was pleasantly surprised with the glow quality of this filament. Overall, this is great filament and holds up Hatchbox's reputation. I would highly recommend it for those in the market for glow filament.

This was my first ever PLA print on my 3D printer, Son of MegaMax. It was easy to set up, printed very smoothly, the parts had a great glossy sheen, and they glow in the dark. Sticks to blue painter's tape on a room temperature print bed. I printed at 190C extruder temperature. The vase in the photo was printed using slic3r's spiral vase mode so the wall is only 0.4mm thick. It is quite translucent, so an LED inside will shine through it, and a UV LED will be visible and cause the vase to glow, for a very nice effect.
